Sobre mí

My history with food dates back to my youth.

It was around that time when I began to feel afflicted by a variety of symptoms that were as unpleasant as they were extremely painful. I remember suffering from digestive disorders, skin rashes, weight fluctuations, intermittent periods of low mood, menstrual pain, and a lack of concentration, all without knowing the underlying cause or duration. I was completely disconnected from the food I was putting on my plate and immersed in a declining emotional state. Furthermore, my lifestyle was not the most appropriate, and the combination of these factors was negatively impacting my health.

I eventually found a way to lessen the symptoms: self-medication. For many years, I turned to painkillers, antacids, laxatives, and diuretics. However, I reached a point of understanding where I realized that these pharmacological treatments were not the solution to my symptoms. In truth, I was using them as temporary fixes to mask the problem. Throughout my youth, I also struggled with an Eating Disorder that evolved into Bulimia Nervosa which I kept secret for many years and which in turn, exacerbated my symptoms

Gradually, I became aware that everything was an interplay of circumstances: from my diet to my emotional state, to the lifestyle I was leading. This cumulative combination was having a negative impact on my health. It was at that moment that I chose to seek professional help, marking my first encounter with mindful eating. It was then, in my twenties, that I decided to see a Nutritionist. From this point forward, I embarked on a transition toward a healthier diet, which I complemented with a more active lifestyle and a more positive attitude.

From that point on, I began rebuilding my relationship with food through nutritional education. Not only did I transform my diet, but I also incorporated supplements to complement it. I even ventured into experimenting with fasting for several days and significantly reduced my daily consumption of processed and animal-derived products. As a result of this change, I started focusing more on improving the relationship I had with myself, and the episodes of bulimia became less frequent

After a few months of cultivating healthier habits, my energy levels significantly increased. I experienced improvements in my concentration and was no longer plagued by digestive bloating. I began sleeping better, and overall, I felt more positive, and vibrant, and reconnected with my inner self.

Life took me to England and at the age of thirty, I embarked on an introspective journey through Thailand that extended for several months. During this time, I immersed myself in the practice of yoga and meditation, which became essential guides as I explored a more spiritual life within. It was in this environment that a deep awareness of self-respect for my body and emotions blossomed within me.

Then, I started to grow my interest in nutrition. After returning to England, I decided to study Nutrition, and in 2017, I graduated as a Nutritional Therapist, an experience that completely transformed my life. This step not only allowed me to understand and connect with the needs of my own body but also empowered me to guide others in their pursuit of well-being and balance through Integrative Nutrition.

Since then, I have been an active member of BANT (British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine) and CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council). Through online consultations, I have provided assistance and support to individuals who, like you, have chosen to embark on a journey towards a healthier lifestyle.

Upon returning to Spain in early 2023, I decided to enrich my knowledge and enhance my professionalism by obtaining a Master's in Integrative Healthy Cooking from CIB (The Culinary Institute of Barcelona). This degree has become an essential tool that I use to design personalized nutritional plans for my clients.
